Our Process
Turning ideas into manufacturable products requires clarity, structure, and trust.
At AI-DEAS, we guide you through a four-phase process – from first idea to finished product – always with transparency and systematic documentation.
Phase 1: Strategy & Conceptualization
The Foundation
-
Free initial consultation and NDA – protecting your ideas from the very beginning.
-
Joint creation of a requirement specification: function, materials, standards, risks, costs, timeline.
-
Outcome: a clear roadmap and contract that defines what is included – and what is not.
Milestone: Approved requirement specification & project contract.

Phase 2: Design & Verification
From Blueprint to Prototype
-
3D CAD models optimized for manufacturability (design with tooling in mind).
-
2D technical drawings: blueprints for patents, approvals, and production.
-
Iterative loops: typically 2–3 prototype cycles (3D prints, silicone casts, functional models).
-
Customer approves drawings, materials, prototypes, and quality specification (AQL, tolerances, standards).
Milestone: Design locked & quality specification approved.
Phase 3: Tooling & Preparation
The Engineering Leap
-
Tooling specification with detailed requirements for molds, machines, and tolerances.
-
DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis, mold flow reports, risk assessment.
-
Transparent contracts with tooling partners in Denmark, China, or Vietnam.
-
First Article Inspection (FAI): first test shots are measured, reported, and approved before mass production.
-
AI-DEAS engineers perform on-site inspections (“boots on the ground”) to ensure standards are met.
Milestone: Tooling approved & validated.

Phase 4: Production & Logistics
Scalability and Delivery
-
Pilot production for market testing, followed by full-scale production.
-
Single point of contact: we handle plastic, metal, rubber, and multi-material assemblies.
-
Quality assurance: defined in the quality specification (sample control, visual checks, etc.).
-
Packaging, assembly, warehousing, and direct shipping available.
Milestone: Products delivered to customer or end-user.
Why Our Process Works
Like building a house, product development requires architects, engineers, and craftsmen. Our structured process brings all expertise together – step by step – so your idea becomes a tangible, manufacturable, and scalable product.
